For Riccardo Patrese this a special chance to try and make up for a racing enigma. Patrese has never been able to win atMonza. His best result was in 1984 driving the Benetton Team Alfa Romeo when he came 3rd to the winner Niki Lauda in the Mclaren and 2nd place man Michele Albereto in the Ferrari. When asked about his bad luck at Monza Patrese responded “This list is all bad events! Don't forget that I won the 1976 Monza Lotteria Formula 3 race which was very important, and one of my happiest memories in racing.” |
