Career History:

After a very successful career in F3, Alex Caffi is widely regarded as one of the most talented drivers never to have had the opportunity to make his mark in a series of motorsport.

Born in Rovato, Brescia, the 42 year old Italian made his FI debut in 1987 in what turned out to be an uncompetitive car, Alex earned the respect of his other drivers by quietly learning his trade.

A move to the new Dallera team in 1987 brought some good performances for one of the smaller teams, finishing 4 th at Monaco and losing a potential result at Phoenix through no fault of his own. After a brief spell with Arrows, Alex has put in some fine performances in a variety of other motorsport disciplines which includes a 6 th at Le Mans.
