Scott Poulter (CEO of GP Masters) today spoke about what the future holds for the GP Masters. In an interview with Grand Prix Masters Online.com a little after the official press conference Scott talked candidly, including about future races. When asked about Monza Scott stated “At the moment we have two or three alternatives available.
Unfortunately, we were unable to go to Malaysia (Sepang) for 2006. However, it’s under discussion for 2007.” When asked about South Africa Scott stated “The race in Durban isn’t confirmed yet contra to what you may have heard. However, it’s a decision that’s being made by
the promoters and will more likely take place on the streets of Durban instead of the Kyalami Circuit.”
Scott also talked about using a mix of modern and classic tracks in the future stating “It make commercial sense” adding “we will probably come back to the UK next year with a calendar of more than likely six circuits for the 2007 series.”
